Middleborough 4th Annual Pumpkin Romp 2024

Spread the magic of Halloween in our community, by signing up for our contest. Create a display using pumpkins as characters or in your favorite theme that is clearly visible for visiting “Pumpkin Rompers”. Visitors will follow the route on our map, that contains all the contestant’s displays. They will vote for the scariest, funniest, most creative displays, for prizes and bragging rights. 

All proceeds go to The Heart in Heart, a recognized 501c3 non-profit

How to Play

Click on Sign Up link below to purchase and fill out entry card. Make sure name, address, and phone number sections are filled out for mapping and voting purposes. This information is required to be a contestant. Names and phone numbers will only be used or seen by Heart In Art staff. If you want to make a display, but do not want to be in the contest and/or be listed on our map, please state in the address section.

Some displays are best viewed in the daytime or night. If your display is best viewed in the evening or in the daytime. If it can be either, please select which is best in the sign-up. This will help Rompers decide what time they will schedule to see displays. It will also help you with the visibility of your display for votes.

We would like to create a gallery of the entries to be published on the website. Please send a clear and in color picture of your finished display as a PDF or JPEG to pumpkin@theheartinart.org. This is required to be considered for a winning display. These pictures will be used for advertisement and mapping purposes.

Pumpkins should be the main component in your display. Pumpkins can be real, or artificial. Your pumpkins can be carved, painted, and/or decorated. Pumpkins can be made into your favorite characters, grouped together to form objects, depicting your favorite scene in a movie, or maybe dressed as your favorite rock band. The sky is the limit to your creativity!

This is a G rated, family friendly event, created for the pure love for Halloween and bringing joy to the community.

Pumpkin Displays should not contain any of the following:

• It may not be bloody
• It may not contain weapons
• It may not have inappropriate language
• It may not depict hatred. 

Residents - Create your display, using primarily pumpkins, to create your favorite theme and win prizes. Each contestant receives a sign for their entry, that displays a number, indicating to rompers that the display is part of the contest.. 

Business owners - Create your display, using primarily pumpkins, as a team building opportunity that drives the voters to your store. Winners will receive a trophy and bragging rights. Each contestant receives a sign for their entry, indicating to rompers that the display is part of the contest.

When: Halloween Season 2024: October 5th - 31st. Final votes will be tabulated on 11/1/24

Where: The Town of Middleboro - Map will be created after registration closes.  Then invite your friends, family, and co-workers to drive around the town picking out your favorite display
